Joel Segal and Blue Equity to Represent Six Top NFL Draft Prospects

LOUISVILLE, KY, January 14, 2008 - Blue Equity announced today that Joel Segal, President of its football division, will represent six top prospects for the upcoming 2008 NFL draft: Glenn Dorsey, defensive tackle from Louisiana State University, Early Doucet, wide receiver also from Louisiana State University, Marcus Harrison, defensive tackle from the University of Arkansas, Josh Morgan, wide receiver from Virginia Tech, Chris Johnson, running back from East Carolina and Andre' Woodson, quarterback from the University of Kentucky. This exceptionally talented 2008 draft class follows Segal's very successful 2007 NFL draft. Segal was the only agent in the 2007 draft with three top picks in the first round, Levi Brown (#5), LaRon Landry (#6) and Craig Davis (#30). Blue Equity will manage marketing opportunities as well as contract negotiations for the players.

"We are excited to be working with this amazing 2008 draft class which is comprised of individuals with extremely high character in addition to their outstanding playing ability," said Blue Equity football division president and agent, Joel Segal.

"Joel Segal is the preeminent agent in the NFL and one of the top sports agents of all time," said Jonathan S. Blue, chairman and managing director of Blue Equity. "The caliber of our players for this year's draft is a testament that our unique business model has transcended into the world of sports."

  • Early Doucet (WR, LSU): Doucet finished the season with 57 Receptions, 525 Yards, and 5 TD's and is widely recognized as one of the top 3 receivers in the 2008 Draft. This comes on the heels of his performance the previous season of 59 catches for 772 yards and eight touchdowns in 2006.
  • Andre' Woodson (QB, Kentucky): Woodson threw a record-setting four touchdown passes and 358 yards passing against the Florida Seminoles in the 2007 Music City Bowl. He finished his senior season with a record 40 touchdown passes while being named MVP of two consecutive bowl victories.
  • Marcus Harrison (DT, Arkansas): Harrison was an all SEC second-team on defense and finished fourth on the team in tackles with 72 (37 solo, 35 assisted) in 11 games. Harrison also racked up 5.5 TFL for a loss of 14 yards and 1.5 sacks for a loss of seven yards to go along with nine passes defended and seven quarterback hurries.
